Gaming PC Hardware publishes guides on graphics cards, CPUs, memory and storage. The standards below shape every article, from a GPU buying guide to a troubleshooting walkthrough.
Sourcing comes first
We treat manufacturer documentation as the primary source for specifications: datasheets, product pages, BIOS notes and qualified memory lists. Independent results from hardware review sites are our source for performance, power and temperature figures. Owner reports from forums and verified-purchase reviews help us identify reliability and compatibility patterns, but we do not quote them as precise data.
Every number in an article must have a source. If review sites disagree, for instance on how much a CPU gains with faster memory, we compare their setups, explain the likely reason for the difference, and present a range when no single figure is clearly more representative.
Editorial independence
Decisions about what to cover and what to recommend are made by our editors alone. Manufacturers and retailers do not approve our content and cannot change our conclusions.
Nothing is for sale in our rankings
We do not accept paid placements. We do not run sponsored rankings. A brand cannot buy its way into a guide or into a higher position. We do earn affiliate commissions on qualifying purchases, as set out in our affiliate disclosure, and that has no bearing on our picks.
Conflicts of interest
We currently do not accept review samples in exchange for coverage. Should we receive free hardware, or should a contributor have a link to a company we write about, that will be disclosed in the relevant article.
The role of AI
We use AI tools to assist with research, outlines and drafts. Human editors review and edit every article and verify its facts against sources. AI does not invent specs, performance numbers or test results, and unsupported claims are removed before publication.
Update schedule
Articles are reviewed when new hardware launches, when firmware or driver changes affect performance, when pricing shifts, and when readers report problems. The last-updated date is shown on each page.
Corrections
Please send corrections through our contact page. We verify each report and update the article if it is confirmed.
